poem 3

April 3, 2016 § 4 Comments

breaking down the buzz:: slight

once upon a time

as if the world was coming to an end
and not a difference in opinion she

struck back,

no one could figure out
who started it, as if that
wasn’t the next big attraction

as if right was might, partisans

we all know how to end this but
we all know it ends

forgiveness: forgoing the grudge
vulnerable: provoked plain and simple
(shame: one of those amygdala hijack geographies. by default unreasonable.)
adult: too old to be in trouble; consequences are in effect
mastery: we are only good at what we practice
disagreeing: not the end of the world
purist: bigot
uncompromising: a cautionary tale
